BGP between Cisco and Netscreen
Monday, May 22nd, 2006Just for fulfill my curiosity while having a netscreen 204 box in front of my eye, i tried to established BGP session with my friends Cisco router in IIX.
Sorry, I must change the original IP address due to security purpose.
Configuration in Cisco side
—————————
neighbor 10.20.6.113 remote-as 65500
neighbor 10.20.6.113 ebgp-multihop 255
neighbor 10.20.6.113 next-hop-self
neighbor 10.20.6.113 soft-reconfiguration inbound
neighbor 10.20.6.113 route-map REJECT-ALL in
Configuration in Netscreen side
——————————–
set preference ebgp 250
set preference ibgp 40
set protocol bgp 65500
set neighbor 10.30.224.14 ebgp-multihop 20
set neighbor 10.30.224.14 remote-as 65501 local-ip 10.20.6.113/28 outgoing-interface ethernet4
set neighbor 10.30.224.14 enable
set neighbor 10.30.224.14 ebgp-multihop 20
set neighbor 10.30.224.14 nhself-enable
set interface ethernet4 protocol bgp
And this is the result that i get in the netscreen. There are 2000+ IIX routes there.
FW1-> get route protocol bgp
